Description | I. RESPONSIBLITIES
- Reports to High School principal
- To develop an atmosphere whereby the students can grow and develop to their fullest potential
II. QUALIFICATIONS
- Shall meet all legal and Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education requirements for certification
- Meet the qualifications of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA)
III. FUNCTIONS
- Represents the students, staff and parents of the Bayless School District in a professional and ethical manner at all times
- Inform students of tryout dates and requirements, including contacting 8th grade students in the preceding spring
- Promote sportsmanship in all aspects of the activity
- Turn in all required forms and paperwork as directed by the administration
- Turn in completed eligibility checklist to the AD at least two weeks before the 1st contest
- Attend MSHSAA rules meetings
- Must attend character education coach’s workshop and incorporate strategies
- Supervise all practices, games and areas when any student is present
- Be the first to arrive and the last to leave for practices and events
- Make sure practice game facilities are safe and in order
- Keep accurate records of all equipment and uniforms issued to participants
- Turn in official rating forms at least two days before the MSHSAA mandated due date
- Complete and return to the AD, the “End of the Season Report” no later than one week after completion of the last contest

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT
- As an extra duty contract, period of employment is as needed and determined by the school calendar. This will include and encompass any state conferences, meetings, etc., that are part of the program.
